The Portsalon Caves Tour is our most popular family kayak tours. A 2hour Kayak that covers approximately 6km. Taking in the most breath-taking scenery and coastal features  along Lough Swilly. Offering numerous caves that can be accessed on calm seas with cliffs where wild sea birds’ nest and Wild Mink is often spotted in summer. Sea stacks and sea arches add to the journey as you navigate the narrow channel of rock.
 
Hidden from the view of the passing cars on the road above is a secret beach with its own sea arch and beach cave. This Kayak tour offers a whole new perspective on the beauty of Donegal waiting to be discovered.
 
Located on the Fanad Peninsula and the Wild Atlantic Way, these hidden gems are only accessible by kayak. While kayaking you will also enjoy the spectacular views of Inishowen, Irelands most northerly peninsula on the other side of Lough Swilly. 7 Arches Kayak Tour
This truly is the 7th Wonder of the Wild Atlantic Way Donegal. The 7 Arches Kayak tour begins by leaving the pier in Portsalon and heading north along the rugged Fanad coastline, exploring the Portsalon caves and discovering hidden beaches and coves. This section of coastline has it all, Caves, Cliffs, Arches, Sea Stacks, Hidden Coves and Beaches. The tour continues North until we reach the hidden gem that is “The 7 Arches”. This is a private beach hidden along the coast and only accessible by kayak with its own waterfall paradise inside a cave formed by millions of years of erosion.
 
This Kayak trip will not disappoint, with lots of opportunities for photographs and if luck is on our side, the possibility of seeing some dolphins. Kayaking is easy pace with stops and rest opportunities available. Don’t forget to take a snack to enjoy in this coastal paradise.
 
The tour is 9km in distance and 4hours duration and best suited to paddlers with some experience. Tour is not ideally suitable for 1st timers, children under 16years or those with lower back problems. Bring a light snack and fluids as you will need to keep your energy levels up. Old runners or footwear are essential and light Rain-Jacket, ensure you have a water proof pouch for your phone or camera. €45pp
 
Full Moon Kayak Tour
Kayaking out in the early evening as the sun sets. Enjoying the low light and low level of noise while others stroll quietly along the beach. Giving a magical relaxing feel to this calm body of water as the evening settles into night. With the Full Moon rising from behind the hills. Midnight Kayak Tour
Kayaking out in the evening as your eyes get accustomed to the lowering level of the sun. Gazing at the ever-growing sea of stars above in the hope to catch a shooting star or to see the glow of a shoal of phosphorescence plankton. Returning after dark following the distant lights of the pier to guide the way. Finish of the Evening with a warm drink around the fire. Midnight kayaks take place at Rathmullan Beach on Lough Swilly and Woodquarter Pier on Mulroy Bay. €30pp

Mulroy Bay is an SAC (special area of conservation).  It is a large sheltered inlet with lots of islands, surrounded by native woodland and the clearest of water filtered by the famous Mulroy Bay Muscle Farms, giving the ideal habitat for numerous types of sea life.
 
Stand Up Paddle Boarding your way along the bay and through the islands gives an ideal vantage point to witness this spectacle. Take in the natural beauty of the area and unwind. These tours are an excellent introduction to SUP, as our skilled tour guide will take you through everything you need to know to be confident on the water.

Ghost Ship Kayak Tour
Kayak along the 2nd Most Beautiful Beach in the World to the Knockalla Sea Cliffs. Nature watching for Bird Colonies, Seals and Dolphins, while taking in the views of the giant sea cliffs and caves. Hidden in plain sight from all but the sea, a full-size fishing vessel shipwrecked in a giant cave. The 15 Meter horizon fishing vessel ran aground at 3:30am on March 5th 2008 near Saldana Point, the sea conditions and giant cliffs made it almost impossible to rescue the crew from the stricken craft by life boat. However, with the work of Sligo based Irish Coast Guard Helicopter, all 7 crew were winched to the safety of the helicopter in the darkness of night, while hovering close to the 60 feet high cliffs for 50min. The kayak tour has a very unique view of Lough Swilly and the many mirror like image caves and inlets. Returning along Knockalla beach, stretching 5KM from Portsalon Pier. €45pp
